Today we headed out to Niagara Falls, Canada. I’ve never been so far North in my life. And I can now add New York and Pennsylvania to my list of states that I have been to. I’m now at 27 states. Pretty cool, huh? My best friend Crystal is getting to go on the road with me. It’s so great! She really makes the trip fun! Of course, it’s always fun, but she just adds a little spice to the mix. This will be a great trip!

Well, this morning at about 3:00 a.m. or so, we drove over the border into Canada. It is such a weird feeling being in another country. We slept a while and then got ready to see the sites for about an hour. There’s just not much time on show day for much else. Man, the Falls were absolutely beautiful! I have never seen anything like it. The pictures just don’t do it justice.

After we went to the Falls it was time for rehearsal and sound check. When I saw the stage, I was so excited. It was Huge! The concert was going to be outside and you could see the Niagara Falls from the stage. Wow, what a view! When we had rehearsal I could not believe how awesome the sound was. I couldn’t wait until the show later that night.

This great guy in the red shirt works for the Niagara Parks Department, he probably worked harder than anyone getting everything ready and put together on stage. All of us really appreciated him a ton.

Well, what can I say? The show went Fantastic!! Nothing makes me happier than being on stage! I even got to throw some of my t-shirts out to the crowd. That was Dana’s idea, and what a great one it was! The crowd was really responsive. Canadians are some of the nicest people I have ever met!

When I got off stage I went to my booth. There I got to meet some of the local police officers. They were SO nice! One of them, Officer Joey Pirosko, said that he would love to escort Coy, Dana, Crystal and me around town tomorrow so we could really experience the Niagara Falls. I am really looking forward to it.

John Berry’s show was great, of course! I don’t think he could put on a bad show if he tried! In the middle of his set at 10:00 p.m., John sang America the Beautiful while they did a spectacular fire works show over the Falls. After if was finished everyone rushed back over to watch the second half of John’s show. It was absolutely packed out! What a Great Night! It is so cool that both of our Country’s celebrate the 4th of July together, “The 2 Nation Celebration”.

We woke up bright and early to get ready for our big day. I had no clue just how awesome it was going to be. We were really in for a Huge treat and you talk about Royal Canadian Treatment, well we got the works. We met up with Officer Joey Pirosko at the Police Department. There he gave me a beautiful bouquet of roses from everyone at the Niagara Falls Parks Department and the Niagara Falls Police Service. That was the coolest thing, I was so flattered. They really know how to make someone feel Special. Officer Joey escorted us around in the Chief of Police Tim Burnt’s SUV.

We headed over to the tunnels of the Falls. It was incredible. The tunnels take you down and behind the Falls where we can look out from the back side of the Falls. Then it took us out to a look out area. We had to wear these big yellow rain bags to keep from getting soaked. We were so close to the Falls, It was unreal.

Wait till you see this! We walked across the entire Niagara Falls Gorge on a tight rope, Ha, Ha!! Pretty Neat!

After that we headed out to do something I’ve never done before. We got to take a Helicopter ride! How awesome is that? I thought Dana was going to squeeze my arm off. It was really funny. The flight was so incredible. Everything looked so amazing from up there. Unfortunately, Crystal got a little squeeze. Motion sickness really stinks! But for me, the flight was nothing less than perfect.

After the helicopter ride we grabbed a bite to eat. Earlier that day I had told Joey about something in particular I really wanted to do. It was the Whitewater Whirlpool Jet Boat ride that takes you in the rapids of the Niagara River. Unfortunately, he said that you had to pre-book the ride. I was really disappointed. That was the one thing I really wanted to do. Well after we finished eating, Joey said he had a surprise for me. Somehow he had managed to get us seats on the Jet Boat! Is there any end to this man’s Greatness? The jet boat ride was by far the best part of the whole day. Not only did we get to ride on it, we got to sit on the First Row! I don’t think I ever stopped laughing and screaming! We’d go over huge rapids and then dive head first into another one. It was like tidal waves going into our heads! Needless to say, we got saturated. Can’t take any pictures on this ride, or your camera would be soaked or flying off the boat somewhere!

After all that excitement we had to take a breather and definitely take a shower. Considering all that Joey did for us, the least we could do was take him to dinner. So we ended the day with some great pasta at “My Cousin Vinney’s” Italian Restaurant and headed for home.

But I won’t be home for long. I will be going back on tour with John Berry and returning to the great country of Canada in September. I can hardly wait!
