June 9-12, 2005 COUNTRY MUSIC FEST (Fan Fair)

 

June 8, 2005

 

My best friend Crystal, my mom and I headed out for Nashville early this morning. We had a great trip, listening to all kinds of music, playing games and just cutting up. We have so much fun on the road together. Once we got to Nashville we went to the Wrangler Exhibit Hall to help set up my booth for Fan Fair.

 

 

 

June 9, 2005

 

First day of the Country Music Fest 2005 (aka: Fan Fair). I still like to call it Fan Fair because the Fan’s are what it is all about. I love meeting these people. I signed so many pictures and CD’s and met the greatest people. This is my skirt on the mannequin. I don’t know how many girls wanted to buy it. It’s definitely one of my favorites.

 

June 10. 2005

 

Well it is Friday, the second day of Fan Fair. I am really having a lot of fun. This is my best friend Crystal in the yellow shirt. She helped me so much in my booth and it was so great having her with me for the entire week. Once again I met so many wonderful people who are all so excited about country music.

 

 

 

 

I was only at the booth until 1:30 today. I left to go perform at the Family Fun Zone for the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. A great group of supporters came out to hear me sing. I almost decided to sing my song “Is It Hot in Here” because it was really STEAMY!

June 11, 2005

 

Third day of Fan Fair. Man it is really going fast! Crystal and I got here early to get things set up. This was a really fun day. I met the sweetest, happiest young man. He had his little blue guitar with him. He was having all of the artist’s sign it. He was so cute and excited.

 

 

 

So many people came through the booth today. This must have been the busiest day of all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DJ and Music Director Jim Kay and Lisa Josey came by my booth. I did an interview with them for their radio station KVVP Big Dog Country 105 in Leesville, Louisiana. It was so great to see ya’ll. Thanks so much for the interview and for continuing to play my songs on your radio station. Yea, KVVP Big Dog Country!!

 

 

 

Then artist Allison Emry came by to see me. I first met Allison last year at the CMA Fest.
She is really really sweet. And Allison, I wish you all the best.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then a couple of really Crazy guys came by called “The Funky Cowboy”. They were hilarious. I watched them walking along through the crowds making everyone laugh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All week long people were entering the Brittany Roe Giveaway. The gift for the girl was a giant “Shoe” chair for my song “Shoes”. And the drawing for the guys was a gas BBQ Grill for my song “Is It Hot in Here”. The Lucky winner for the “Shoe” Chair was Erica Shoulders from Carthage, TN.

 

 

The winner for the “Is It Hot in Here” Gas Grill was Steve Perry from Murfreesboro, TN.

 

 

 

 

 

 

That evening Crystal and I went to listen to music and just have a good time. This was her very first time in Nashville and she had a Blast! We got soak and wet. It poured and poured rain, but we didn’t let that stop us!

 

 

 

We stayed at a campsite near the Opry Mills Mall. And of course, we had to go Shopping!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

June12, 2005

 

 

This was the last day of Fan Fair. I am worn out, yet I don’t want it to be over yet. Here is the big “Shoe” Chair we gave away. I need one of these for me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Look at this little guy. What a cutie! I think he will grow up to be a country music star one day.

 

 

 

This guy in the orange shirt is Eric Ross. What a great Christian man and a wonderful supporter of my music. He brought several people to my booth to meet me. Thanks Eric.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is Johnny (right) and Toby (left) from the group Well Hungarians. Michael wasn’t able to make it over to my booth. What a great group of guys. I also met them last year at Fan Fair. Check out their music, they sound great.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What a great guy this is. A true Fan!  I think he bought one of everything I had at the booth. This is Wes Seymour. He bought my CD last year. What was so neat was several people told me they watched his lips moving to every word of my song “Somebody’s Somebody” while I was singing it at my show yesterday. That really made me feel good inside. Thanks Wes.

John Anderlie is another great fan of mine since last year at Fan Fair. Thanks so much John for all your wonderful support. See you next year at my Fan Club Party, if not before.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today we had a drawing for three of my CD’s and three of my posters.  The first winner of my CD was Kylee Wood. Congratulations Kylee!

 

The other winners of my CD were Cecil Basden and Fran.

The winners of my posters are Emily Morris, Connie Tober and Karen Pennington.

Congratulations to all of you!
